Support for Learning

In a green week we focus on supporting students to remove barriers to learning and cover emotional issues that can get in the way. We also find opportunities throughout the year to help students to prepare for examinations, cope with stressful situations, acquire useful revision techniques and keep themselves safe, both inside and outside of school. The role that this support plays in ensuring excellent outcomes for all students was commended by OFSTED in March 2014:

"Students' safety is outstanding. The excellent care that students receive keeps them safe. The school uses its founding principles of 'aspiration, empowerment, excellence' to promote students' personal development very effectively. Their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is outstanding."

Some girls may need additional support to remove barriers to learning and this is provided on an individual basis by members of the Learner Services and Additional Learning Needs teams. We work with students and their families to change and improve behaviour and support individuals with their learning through personalised support plans. If you would like advice regarding additional support your daughter may require, please do not hesitate to contact one of our dedicated team on 0161 912 2949 and we will help all we can:
