Evening of Excellence 2018

FGS students from year 7 through to year 12 participated in our hugely rewarding Evening of Excellence celebration. The girls showcased their exceptional talents and abilities through live music, dance, drama performances and inspirational speeches.

The student speeches included a wide variety of subjects from Design Technology, Psychology, Maths, History of Sport, Geography - Deforestation and Suffragettes vs. Suffragist.

Our special guest speaker Rachel Mckenzie - British, European and World Champions in Thai boxing, inspired our students and audience members alike. She completed her talk by saying: ‘don’t give up in your pursuit of excellence – if you keep trying and pursuing your dreams with hard work, anything is possible.’

Miss O’Halloran said; ‘I am so pleased with the celebration of excellence evening; the standard of performances was extremely high and our student presenters Katie Scotson and Niamh Green were extremely professional.

Special thanks to Rachel Mckenzie, we enjoyed hearing your inspirational story. It really inspired our students to take risks and follow their dreams.’
