The role of parents and carers in optimising their child's chances of success cannot be underestimated. We believe that it is our responsibility to provide parents and carers with the best possible conditions to help them in working with us for their children. We hold information evenings and other events to ensure that parents and carers feel well informed about forthcoming priorities for themselves and their children. In addition, parents' evenings provide the opportunity for parents/carers and girls to meet subject teachers and discuss progress, achievements and targets in individual subjects, to enable more personalised support.

However, in addition to timetabled events, we are very happy to meet with parents/carers throughout the year in order to discuss any ideas, issues or concerns they may have. Please contact your daughter's form tutor via her planner if you wish to arrange a phone call or meeting. Alternatively, you are very welcome to contact one of the Learner Services team on 0161 960 0160 and they will arrange for the right member of staff to get back to you.

The FGS Pledge

FGS is a caring school which aims to maximise the potential of all girls regardless of their abilities. In order to fulfil this aim we need to work together with the family as a team.
