Our "Achievement for All @FGS" programme promotes effective leadership at all levels, and this was recognised by OFSTED in March 2014:

"The school's leadership is outstanding... Students have many opportunities to take on leadership roles in school, such as prefects, house captains, sports captains, librarians and membership of the school council. This helps develop their self-confidence...Form time is used very effectively ...The school's sports specialism is used well to involve and inspire students to reach their full potential both personally and academically. Students have many chances to participate in competitions and to take on sports leadership opportunities..."

As well as promoting leadership regularly through our activities in a black week, the school's JLT provides inspirational role models for the younger students at the school. The team is committed to achieve their legacy through innovative and creative leadership, including initiatives such as:

  • Options Ambassadors
  • Project Peer
  • Flixton Young Philanthropy Initiative
  • Flixton Citizenship Programme
