Alumni 86th Reunion

2019 sees FGS celebrating our 86^th year so we flung open our doors for our third annual alumni reunion event.

It was lovely to welcome back ex-students and staff for this open house event. Allowing former students and staff to take a walk down memory lane and retrace their FGS footsteps.

The hall and corridors were awash with reconnected alumni, reminiscing about old times which were brought to life through old school photographs, magazines, and yearbooks, revisiting classrooms, and then enjoying refreshments put on by our Friends of Flixton.

Headteacher and former FGS student Mrs Hazeldine commented on Twitter: ‘Fantastic #schoolreunion @FlixtonGS @FGS6thForm - so lovely to see everyone especially from 5T 1978 - looking great ladies!

Gill Newhill commented: ‘It was great to meet up with old friends at the FGS this afternoon. Not seen any school friends since June 1986, nearly 33 years ago.’

Stella Christian said: ‘It was a fab and emotional event, walking through my old school, meeting old friends and sharing stories.’

Susan Ashworth tweeted: ‘Fantastic to see everybody again x.’
