Alumni - Flixton Family

Flixton Girls School has a close community/family which is supported by our long standing members of both classroom based and operational staff - led by head teacher Dorothy Trussell. Although newly appointed as head from September 2020 she has over 16 years’ service at FGS!

Our Flixton family has 14 current employees, who are ex-students (alumni); a large proportion who have worked at the school for over 10 years. Coupled with members of staff who have daughters enjoying their seven special year journey with us; reinforcing the ethos of the school as an extension of our local community - in turn supporting and maintaining that family feel.

At FGS we are always happy to hear from our alumni and would urge ex-students to keep in touch! Way back in April 2018 we welcomed back Chloe Halls - ex-student from 2015. Chloe joined us as a member of our catering team whilst also working towards her Level 2 Commis Chef qualification in partnership with Trafford College. Chloe has now successfully completed her apprenticeship certification and is now a fully qualified member of our Artisan Dining Team. We have it on good authority that Chloe has a determined and dedicated work ethic, which is an ethos we endeavour to instil in all our students. As well as displaying fabulous baking skills with her delicious bakes and cakes!
