Designer Christmas

Year 7 students had a great opportunity to enter local MP Kate Green’s annual Design a Christmas card competition, sponsored by Cargill PLC in Trafford Park. Our students were offered the chance, along with other local Trafford schools to send in their card design for use on Kate’s official Christmas card.

In previous years Kate has received a great many entries with designs being chosen for the front and inside covers of the card. This year Kate was inundated with even more entries from schools around the constituency which meant she had another extremely hard task selecting the lucky winners.

Following the selection process FGS were informed that three of our year 7 students were lucky enough to have their designs chosen.  Isabelle Fortune was runner up, with her Christmas themed Manchester Bee design, which formed part of the inside cover of the card. Faith Brown and Chiraze Hadjam also had their designs used on the reverse of the card.
