Gracious Grace
Posted at 3:38 pm on 30th October, 2019
Grace O’Condell, Acre Hall Primary School Year 6 pupil, was very gracious when she won Flixton Girls School Open Evening Fun Trail Competition.
Following another hugely successful whole school Open Evening, Grace’s Fun Trail card was selected at random, to win a great prize.
As part of the Open Evening activities, all students who attended were asked to simply have their Fun Trail Card marked in each department, where they participated in an activity. Completed cards were then handed to staff before leaving the premises, to be in with a chance of winning a Trafford Centre Voucher.
Year 11 House Captains: Leah Barlow, Abigail Hughes and Khadeeja Hussain presented Grace with her Trafford Centre Voucher. Grace said ‘I loved Flixton Girls School everyone was very welcoming and put me at ease, which helped as I also visited the following day for the Primary Science Day!
Paula O’Condell, Parent said ‘Accessing a local secondary school really opened Graces’ eyes to the next stage of her education. As an ex-student of FGS I was sceptical about whether Grace would enjoy Flixton Girls, but I can now say I believe she would really fit in and enjoy her time there.’
We hope to see Grace joining us, to continue her educational journey, from September 2020.
