Sponsorship Successes

Flixton Girls School sports teams have aimed high and performed superbly this academic year. Our KS4 basketball team achieved a three year unbeaten record in the Trafford competition and both the KS3 and KS4 teams achieved third overall in the Trafford Basketball Tournament finals. With our Under 16’s Football team reaching the quarter finals of the English Schools Cup, the furthest we have reached in this national competition. Plus the Under 12’s football team showed great teamwork; reaching the fourth round in the same national competition.

These successes are achieved through dedication, determination, teamwork and some excellent coaching skills. However, they have also been assisted along the way by the school receiving sports team kit sponsorship from both DMS Reprographics Ltd; are partners for all printing infrastructure within the Academy and Dataspire UK Solutions; who are our managed service partners for our IT infrastructure.

Mr Deakin, Business Director at FGS said ‘Having watched our students play to such a high standard in kit which was a little sub-standard, I identified our long term business partners and contacted them to ask for sponsorship. In the past I have seen the extra boost that representing the school wearing the best quality kit can give students in competition”.
