Our year 13 students have had been busy over the last few months preparing for mock examinations and finalising their university UCAS admission forms.
Our Sixth Form students are always looking to enhance their future opportunities through forward planning, academic study and volunteering. They aim high with a record number applying for Russell group universities; competing with top academic performers across the country.
A selection of our students have already been lucky enough to receive offers for their chosen universities including Head Girl Erin Jones who has received a number of top university offers from Leeds, Newcastle and Nottingham. Erin is currently planning to study History at University College London (UCL) with the aim of becoming a History teacher.
Lauren Eames has worked extremely hard over the course of her studies and has a firm focus on her goal of becoming a Paediatric nurse. Her many offers included Salford, Edge Hill and one from the University of Manchester; where she hopes to study from this September.
The University of Leeds has been a popular choice this year with Anna Myerscough choosing to study Politics with Sociology there along with Georgia Newsham who is specialising in Psychology at undergraduate level.
We are extremely proud of all our Year 13 students as they have a 100% success rate of all students receiving at least three offers each – smoothing the way for their next educational pathway choices. They have set aspirational targets and are currently working on exceeding them this summer.
Mrs Hazeldine commented: ‘We are really proud of all our Sixth Form students and the fantastic offers from their chosen universities, very well done!’
