Since November 2021, Flixton Girls School (FGS) has established our own Community Hire programme. @FlixtonGirlsCommunityHire & @fgscommunityhire enables us to engage with the wider community, connecting to those within the local area and providing access to all the great facilities at our disposal.
Over the last 12 months, we have facilitated community projects with organisations including clubs, support groups, sports teams, charities, and religious groups -building connections within our local area that extend beyond traditional learning practices. Our wonderful community of consumer investment and support enables rejuvenation of our school environment for the benefit of our students, staff, and customers, both now and for future generations.
Income generated through collaboration with our Community Hire customer projects, last year, directly supported improvements to our 3G pitch including new nets, lights, line markings and general maintenance. This year, we have been able to transform our hall floor, which needed rejuvenation, restoring the surface in time for our 90th Anniversary celebration later this month.
Community hire of school premises enables a wide range of facilities, outside of school hours, to be used for the good of our community. Our facilities include a state-of-the-art 3G pitch plus multifunctional indoor spaces, from our large school hall to specialist classrooms including food tech’ and computer suites.
Whatever your event, big or small, our lettings team are on hand to help our community projects flourish. Our community is a diverse melting pot of talent, and we love connecting with people to offer a site on which they can rely. We offer all year-round booking options, including onsite support, and a safe environment for all who train, learn, and visit the site for social gatherings.
