Flixton Girls School are incredibly proud to announce their Ofsted ‘Good’ rating following a 2-day graded Ofsted inspection at the end of 2023.
Danni Tedford, Acting Principal, said:
‘I am delighted with our latest Ofsted inspection result which recognises the hard work and achievements of our students, staff, Governors, and the Trust, as well as how supported the school is by all our wonderful parents and carers.’
Overall, the inspection recognised how teachers and the leadership team have a school-wide focus on raising aspirations of students by ensuring the curriculum and their broader personal development is well considered.
The report highlighted that:
- our curriculum is aspirational – increasing ambition for our students and their achievement.
- new students settle into our school quickly and our parents/carers appreciate how smoothly children are welcomed into the school in year 7.
- we have high expectations of all students.
- our students are happy at the school.
- our teachers have strong subject knowledge.
Our continued hard work to grow the school, maximise outcomes and eradicate inequalities is supported by the Vantage Trust every step of the way.
